The Experience

The first thing I noticed was the smell — wet earth and something green, almost sharp, just outside Ubud. Our guide Wayan grinned as he handed me a helmet that still had a bit of yesterday’s mud on it (I liked that, honestly). The quad bike looked heavier than I expected.
