What’s included

Your day includes hotel pickup and drop-off from several areas around Bali (Ubud to Seminyak), all safety equipment for both ATV riding and rafting—including helmet and boots—a local guide for each activity, lockers plus towels and shower facilities after you finish getting muddy or soaked, bottled water throughout, insurance coverage during activities, and a satisfying lunch before heading back out into Bali’s sun.

Trying to zip up the boots with muddy fingers, I could hear roosters somewhere behind the rice fields. Our guide, Wayan, handed me a helmet and grinned—he’d already guessed I was nervous about the ATV. The quad bikes looked heavier than I expected. But once we started rolling through the narrow tracks outside Ubud, bouncing past banana trees and splashing through puddles, it felt like being a kid again. There was this moment where we ducked into a cave—cool air, echoey engine noise—and for a second it was just headlights on wet stone and someone laughing behind me (maybe me).

After that, we peeled off our muddy jackets and got herded toward the riverbank for the next bit: white water rafting on the Ayung River. The rafts looked small compared to the current, but our rafting guide—Kadek—just winked and told us to hold tight. The water was colder than I thought when it splashed up my arm. At one point Kadek pointed out carvings in the rock along the riverbank; he said his uncle helped carve them years ago. We floated under vines and past kids waving from a bamboo bridge overhead. My arms felt wobbly by the end but in a good way.

Lunch tasted better than it should have (probably because I was starving). Fried rice, spicy chicken satay, watermelon slices—the usual stuff but somehow perfect after all that adrenaline. There were showers too, which honestly felt like a luxury after being soaked twice in one day. I still think about that first blast of cold water on my face—felt like waking up again.
