The experience

The day starts with a 1.5-hour ATV ride that takes you off-road through Ubud's lush jungle, across rice fields, through muddy tracks and shallow river crossings. The route culminates at the Gorilla Cave: an exclusive tunnel carved deep into the forest that's only accessible by ATV. You'll ride straight through it, which is the signature moment of this activity. The terrain shifts constantly: dense forest gives way to open paddies, then back to forest again, and the mud and water crossings add unpredictability to the ride.

After a short break, you move into the second half of the day: a 2-hour rafting trip down the Ayung River. You'll paddle through rapids, pass mini waterfalls, and float through rainforest on both sides. The rafting is guided, so the pace and the stops are set, but the river itself is what carries the day. You're paddling the whole time, not watching from a boat.

Everything is arranged: your ATV (you choose single or tandem), rafting equipment, helmets, boots and safety gear are provided; a professional guide leads both sections in English; lunch is a buffet with vegetarian and gluten-free options; hotel transfers are included if you book that option; and you have access to showers, changing rooms and lockers afterward.
