The experience
The tour starts at 5am with pickup from your Bangalore hotel and drop at the airport for your flight to Delhi. After landing, you drive three hours by expressway through the countryside to Agra. That evening, you head to Mehtab Bagh (the Moonlight Garden on the Yamuna's far bank) for a photo tour of the Taj Mahal at sunset, when the marble catches the light from across the river and the crowds thin out.
Day two begins at 6am. You visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the marble glows ivory-white and the site is less crowded than midday. The guide walks you through the monument's history: 20,000 workers laboured over 17 years to build Shah Jahan's memorial to his wife. Afterward, you tour Agra Fort, the red sandstone fortress built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, where the courtyards and chambers trace the Mughal Empire's story through Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles. After lunch, you drive back to Delhi airport and fly home to Bangalore, with a final transfer to your hotel.
A golf cart ride to and from the Taj Mahal is included, saving the walk on what can be a long morning. Monument entry fees, bottled water throughout, breakfast each day, and one night's hotel accommodation on twin-share basis are all covered. You choose between a 4-star hotel (Ramada or similar) or a 5-star option (Hilton or similar) at checkout, or you can book the tour without hotel and flights if you prefer to arrange those separately.
