Summary

Private boat ride in Paris with wine, sweets and city icons

You’ll float through central Paris on a private river boat tour with space for just 2–6 people, sipping rosé and tasting macarons as you pass icons like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. With a local guide steering and sharing stories, you’ll see the city’s bridges and monuments from a new angle—and probably feel a little more Parisian than expected.

experience

What’s the experience like?

I didn’t expect to feel so calm right in the middle of Paris. We met our guide—Pierre, I think?—by the Statue of Liberty on Ile aux Cygnes, and there was this gentle breeze coming off the Seine that made my hair stick to my cheek. The boat felt almost too nice for us (I worried about my shoes scuffing something), but Pierre just laughed and handed us chilled rosé like we were old friends. The Eiffel Tower looked different from here—less postcard, more real somehow.

We drifted past Pont Alexandre III and Musée d'Orsay, which honestly I’d only seen from street level before. Pierre pointed out little things—a golden nymph here, a clock tower there—and told stories about Parisians hating the Eiffel Tower when it first went up. I tried repeating “Pont des Arts” in French and absolutely butchered it; he grinned and said it was charming. The city felt quieter from the water, except for the occasional honk or laughter echoing from a bridge above.

I still think about that view of Notre Dame as we floated by—there’s something about seeing it from the river that makes you realize how old everything is. We passed under bridges where couples leaned over to wave (one kid dropped his toy car into the water; his dad just shrugged). At some point someone opened the box of macarons and we all grabbed one without saying much—just enjoying that weirdly perfect combination of sweet almond and cold wine as Paris slid by on both sides. It’s hard to explain why that felt so special but… yeah.
