The Experience

We started right in the middle of Paris, helmets on and Segways humming under our feet. I was a little nervous—never tried one before—but our guide, Camille, had this relaxed way about her. I didn’t expect Place de la Concorde to feel so wide open after all those narrow streets. There’s history everywhere but also just… people living their lives—someone arguing quietly near a fountain, a couple eating pastries on a bench. The highlight for me was rolling up to the Eiffel Tower as it started sparkling; I actually forgot to take a picture because I was just standing there gawking like everyone else. Camille laughed and said even Parisians stop to watch sometimes. We ended near Champ de Mars with this view back toward the city—lights flickering, Segways lined up like tired horses. Still thinking about that.
