The experience

You start with a snowmobile ride through Levi's winter landscape, heading toward an authentic family-owned reindeer farm. The guide shares stories about reindeer herding as a generations-old practice while you ride. Thermal overalls, boots and gloves are provided, so the cold stays outside your layers.

At the farm, you meet the reindeer and feed them by hand. The animals are friendly and used to visitors. Afterward comes a one-kilometre sleigh ride pulled by reindeer, with two adults sharing each sleigh. It's a quiet, local way to move through the snow. Then you head inside the farmhouse to thaw out, drink hot coffee or tea, and eat a sweet local snack while the day settles.

The whole experience runs three hours. You need to arrive 30 minutes early, and if you plan to drive the snowmobile yourself, you must bring a valid B-category driver's license (copies and digital versions don't work under Finnish law). The operator reserves the right to adjust the route or duration based on weather and snow conditions, and will stop the tour if anyone poses a safety risk.
