Three activities in one day: you drive the buggy, you operate the ziplines, you meet the monkeys.

A full-day adventure in the Dominican Republic combining buggy driving in the Anamuya mountains, a 12-cable zipline circuit certified by ACCT, and a 45-minute guided interaction with squirrel monkeys at Monkeyland. The day includes a guide in English, Spanish or French; Dominican lunch; and hotel pickup. Minimum age is 6; drivers need a valid license with at least one year of experience, and zipline participants must weigh between 20 and 127 kilograms.

The Experience

Your day starts in the Anamuya mountains, where a specialized guide teaches you buggy operation and safety before you drive through unusual terrain and into the Anamuya River for a swim. The buggies are easy to handle, and the guide walks you through everything. From there you move to the zipline circuit—the first one built in the Dominican Republic, constructed by a Costa Rican builder and certified by ACCT—where you work through all 12 cables suspended over the jungle landscape. You're operating the equipment yourself, not watching from a platform.

After the ziplines, you stop at a coconut house to see how coconut oil gets made and taste fresh organic products: roasted coffee, cacao, and Caribbean fruits grown on-site. The final 45 minutes happen at Monkeyland, a guided tour where you interact up close with squirrel monkeys—hand-feeding and handling them in close proximity. Lunch is Dominican food, and the operator notes the meals on this excursion are known for quality.

The whole day runs about nine and a half hours. You'll need a moderate level of fitness for the buggy driving and ziplines, and a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience to operate the buggy. The zipline weight range is 20 to 127 kilograms. If you're booking for a group, you choose at checkout whether you want one driver with one, two, or three passengers in the buggy.
