Zip Line and Horseback Ride: North Coast 7-Cable Adventure
Seven cables strung across jungle and river, then a horse beneath you through the hills
Zip line and horseback ride combined on the North Coast: clip into 7 dynamic cables that span canopy treetops, cross a river and tropical jungle, then saddle up for a western-style ride through rolling terrain and across a stream. The activity runs about 4 hours, includes helmet and equipment for both, plus organic fruits and soft drinks; a guide leads in English, Spanish, Italian or French, and no prior riding experience is needed. Pickup is included from your hotel.
The Experience
The zip line comes first: 7 cables strung across the canopy, each one higher and longer than the last. You clip in with the helmet and harness provided, step off the platform, and move across treetops, over a river, through tropical jungle. The North Coast cables are the longest and highest in the region, so the views stretch as far as the ride itself. The order can shift—sometimes the horseback ride comes first—but either way, you move between two different ways of covering the same landscape.
The horseback ride is western-style, which means a working saddle and no arena. You ride through rolling hillsides and tropical fauna with an experienced guide and a trained horse; the stream crossing is part of the route, not a detour. No riding expertise is required, and the guides know how to match horse to rider. Organic fruits and soft drinks are provided along the way to keep you hydrated through the half-day.
Pickup from your hotel is included, and the guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one additional language. Children from age 6 are welcome. The helmet and all zip line equipment come with the activity, as does the helmet for the ride. Plan for about 4 hours total, and bring water shoes or sandals that won't slip off—the stream crossing and the terrain both reward footwear you can move in.

How many zip lines do I actually clip into on this activity?
Seven dynamic cables make up the course on the North Coast. Each one spans across different terrain—canopy treetops, a river crossing, tropical jungle—so the landscape changes as you move through them.
Do I need to know how to ride a horse before booking this?
No horse-riding expertise is needed. The guides work with trained horses and match each rider to the right animal; they lead you through rolling hillsides, tropical fauna and across a stream as part of the western-style ride.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to bring?
The activity includes helmet and zip line equipment, horseback riding helmet, pickup from your hotel, a guide in your language, and organic fruits plus soft drinks to stay hydrated. Bring water shoes or sandals that won't slip off for the stream crossing.
How long does the whole thing take?
The activity runs about 4 hours from pickup to return. The zip line and horseback ride can happen in either order depending on the day's schedule.
What languages does the guide speak?
Guides lead in English, Spanish, Italian, French or one additional language, so you can book in whichever works for you.
