Ziplining in Dominican Republic: 8 Lines, Waterfalls & ATV
Five separate adventures stacked into a single morning and afternoon
XDream Adventure combines ziplining, ATV riding, waterfall jumping, horseback riding and a pool zip into one full-day activity in the Dominican Republic. The longest zip line runs 2,460 feet; you drive your own ATV through the countryside, jump and slide seven Damajagua Waterfalls, and finish with a home-cooked Dominican lunch. A professional guide leads the group in English, Spanish, French or German, and pickup from Puerto Plata or Sosua/Cabarete is included.
The Experience
The day starts with seven Damajagua Waterfalls—you jump and slide your way down the natural cascade instead of watching from a platform. Then you move to the ATV section: if you hold a valid driver's license and are at least 18, you drive your own quad through the Dominican countryside; younger riders go as passengers. The longest zip line stretches 2,460 feet, and you'll cross eight of them total, including a finale that drops you into a pool. A horseback ride through the landscape follows, paced for relaxation rather than speed, before the group sits down to a home-cooked Dominican lunch.
Professional guides manage the group in your choice of English, Spanish, French or German, and they handle all the safety equipment setup. Pickup runs from either Puerto Plata or Sosua/Cabarete depending on which option you book. The full day runs about eight hours, so plan for an early start and a late return. Bottled water is provided throughout, and the activity is vegetarian-friendly if you let the operator know ahead of time.
Weight limits apply: the zip lines have a 260-pound maximum, and each ATV can carry up to 350 pounds total. The activity is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns, and a high level of physical fitness is required. Children from age 8 can participate (as ATV passengers if under 18), and service animals are welcome.
