Belgian Chocolate Making Workshop in Bruges: Create & Taste
You craft the chocolate shells and fillings yourself, then taste what you made alongside Belgian beer.
A Belgian chocolate making workshop in Bruges where you create traditional pralines from scratch under expert guidance, working at a shared chocolate station with all materials provided. The 2-hour session includes Belgian beer tastings and the chocolates you make to take home. Children from age 12 are welcome with adult supervision; minors under 18 receive non-alcoholic drinks instead. The workshop runs in English with translation support available.
The Experience
You arrive at the studio and work at a chocolate station shared with one other person. An expert chocolatier walks you through crafting Belgian pralines—shaping the dark chocolate shells, filling them with ganache, and finishing them by hand. This is not a demonstration you watch; you're making each piece yourself, learning the techniques that go into the pralines sold in Bruges' famous chocolate shops. Bottled water is provided throughout.
As you work, you taste authentic Belgian beers selected to complement the chocolate you're creating. The tasting happens during the session, so the flavors connect to what's in your hands. If you're under 18, you'll have non-alcoholic drinks instead. The whole thing takes about 2 hours, and you leave with the chocolates you made, new skills, and the memory of doing it yourself rather than just buying it.
The workshop welcomes children from age 12 onward, though anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian there with them one-to-one. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, let the team know when you book. The studio is in English, and the hosts can translate parts of the instruction if needed. Public transportation stops nearby if you're traveling without a car.

Is this one for you?If you've browsed Bruges' chocolate shops but wanted to understand how they're actually made, this workshop puts you at the station doing it yourself. The expert guidance means you're not guessing—you're learning the real technique—and the beer tasting during the session is what makes it a deeper taste of Belgium rather than just a craft class.
