The experience

Fansipan rises 3,143 meters above sea level in the Hoàng Liên Sơn mountain range, and reaching the summit means two days of sustained trekking through changing terrain. The trek starts with transport from Sapa to the trailhead, then follows the mountain's established routes upward. You'll camp overnight at altitude, waking to the landscape around you before the final push or descent the next day. The guide navigates the route and paces the group. You bring fitness and readiness for the climb.

Meals and water travel with you: breakfast before departure, lunch on the trail both days, and dinner at camp. The mountain's ecosystem shifts as you climb: spring brings blooming flowers across the slopes, summer layers the trails with rhododendrons and hydrangeas, autumn turns the surrounding rice terraces gold, and winter occasionally crowns the peak with snow. Transport back to Sapa closes the loop once you're done.

The trek demands a high level of physical fitness. It is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy. Minimum age is 16. Dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) can be accommodated if you note them at booking. Tips are not included in the price.
