The Experience

Hotel pickup starts the day—your guide emails the exact time at least one day ahead. At the pier, you'll check in, receive a wristband, and have time for complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks before the safety briefing and boarding. The speedboat or catamaran (depending on your option) then heads out to the Phi Phi Islands, a six-island archipelago off Krabi in the Andaman Sea.

The first major stop is Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh, the limestone-backed beach famous from the film "The Beach." You land at Loh Samah Bay and walk across the island to reach it; the national park controls visitor numbers, so you may wait up to 20 minutes during peak hours. Swimming inside the bay itself is not permitted under park rules, but you can wade in the shallow water near the shoreline where allowed. From August 1 to October 1, the beach closes for environmental restoration—during those months the boat stops nearby for photos and sightseeing from the water instead. Next comes Pileh Lagoon, a natural pool ringed by towering limestone cliffs where you'll swim in calm, emerald-green water; you can also rent a traditional long-tail boat here for a closer look. The Viking Cave, known for its ancient wall paintings and bird's nest harvesting, appears next as a boat-based sightseeing stop.

Lunch is an all-you-can-eat Thai buffet on Phi Phi Don Island, with halal and vegetarian options available. After eating, you'll snorkel near Phi Phi Don to see tropical fish and colorful marine life in clear, warm water—suitable for all experience levels. Monkey Beach in Yong Kasem Bay comes next, a white-sand beach where wild monkeys live; you view it from the boat for safety reasons and photo opportunities. Depending on your option, you may also visit Bamboo Island, a tropical beach with soft sand and crystal-clear water for swimming and snorkeling, or the Khai Islands (Khai Nok or Khai Nai), often called the Pearls of the Andaman Sea, where optional activities like jet skiing and parasailing are available for extra cost. The day ends with a minibus transfer back to your Phuket hotel.
