A full-day snorkeling tour from Phuket by speedboat to the Phi Phi Islands, with stops at Green Island, Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, Viking Cave and Monkey Beach. The Experience

You get picked up from your Phuket hotel in the morning and driven to the departure pier for a speedboat ride to Green Island, where you'll snorkel among tall limestone cliffs rising straight from the water. The boat then heads to Maya Bay, the sheltered cove ringed by 100-metre cliffs on three sides — usually closed in August and September while baby sharks are present. After Maya Bay, you'll land on Phi Phi Don Island for a beachside Thai buffet lunch at a seaside restaurant, with time to walk the beach or rest before the afternoon stops.

The second half of the day takes you to Loh Samah Bay on the opposite side of Koh Phi Phi Leh, one of the most spectacular snorkeling sites in the archipelago, then past Viking Cave — where you'll learn about the local swiftlet bird's nest harvest, prized in Chinese culture for health and skin benefits. The cave entrance is closed to visitors, but you'll see it from the boat. Your final stop is Monkey Beach, where long-tailed macaque troops live freely on the sand; this is the only place on the tour where you'll encounter wildlife on land.

Snorkeling masks and life jackets are provided on board. A professional English-speaking guide leads the group, and the tour includes accidental travel insurance and morning tea or coffee at the pier. The speedboat returns you to your hotel by late afternoon. If you want to add jet ski, banana boat or lagoon boat activities, those cost extra and can be arranged on the day.
