The experience

You get a private air-conditioned vehicle and one driver-guide for the full two days, starting with airport pickup and ending with airport drop-off. The guide speaks English and stays with you from start to finish, which means continuity. The same person who knows your preferences on day one is there on day two. The 450 km allowance covers substantial ground across Sri Lanka. If you need more, excess mileage runs at USD 0.35 per km for a car, USD 0.45 for a small van, or USD 0.85 for a large van, depending on which vehicle you book.

The itinerary is yours to shape. You work with the operator beforehand to design the route, and the driver-guide provides knowledge about the sights along the way. This is not a fixed schedule with set stops. It is transport and expert commentary built around where you want to go. The operator is happy to adjust and fine-tune the plan to add value to your budget.

Included are all government taxes, the driver-guide's salary, meals and accommodation for those two days, parking, fuel and highway tolls, so the main variables are your own accommodation, your meals and drinks, and whether you tip the guide. If you are traveling with young children, specialized infant seats are available. The vehicle options range from a car for up to three adults with two large bags, to a small van for up to five, to a large van for up to eight, so you can choose based on group size and luggage.
