The experience

Seongsan Ilchulbong, a 182-meter tuff cone formed five thousand years ago, anchors the first day. You hike for 50 minutes to reach the crater rim and watch the bowl-like formation up close, then descend to see the haenyeo, Jeju's legendary women divers, perform without oxygen tanks in a live show at 2 p.m. (if weather cancels the performance, the Haenyeo Museum substitutes instead). Manjanggul Lava Tube follows: one of Earth's finest lava tunnels and a UNESCO World Heritage site, its massive underground passages and unique formations stay cool year-round and let you walk through thousands of years of volcanic history in a single afternoon.

Day two swings southwest to Jeongbang Waterfall, which flows directly into the ocean: a rare sight that replaces itself with Cheonjiyeon Waterfall if weather closes access. Jusangjeolli Cliff's black hexagonal stone pillars rise like a folding screen along the coast. O'Sulloc Tea Museum lets you walk through endless green tea rows, taste the leaf, and browse exhibitions and desserts. Mt. Halla's Eoseungsaengak Trail is the final stop, though poor weather may substitute the 1100 Wetland trail or Saebyeol Oreum instead. Both days end with a drop-off at Dongmun Traditional Market, where you can explore local street food on your own time.

Pickup runs from 8:20 a.m. at Shilla Duty Free, 8:30 a.m. at Lotte Duty Free, 8:45 a.m. at Jeju Airport (Gate 3, third floor), or 9:00 a.m. at Ocean Suites Hotel. You choose your starting point at checkout. The air-conditioned vehicle returns you by around 5:50 p.m. on day two. Hueree Nature Life Park charges a separate admission (KRW 8,000 cash or KRW 12,000 card per person, paid on-site). Seongsan Ilchulbong's entrance fee also requires on-site payment if you choose to hike (KRW 8,000 cash or KRW 13,000 card per person, settled with your guide).
