You arrive at your hotel or meeting point and get picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle for the drive to Wadi Shab. The canyon opens up as you walk in: towering cliffs frame the route, and the pools deepen in color as you move through. The guide leads you to the emerald-green water, where you swim and cool off. Depending on water levels, a short boat ride may take you deeper into the canyon to reach a hidden cave with a waterfall that drops into a tranquil pool. After Wadi Shab, you head to Bimmah Sinkhole: a 50-meter-wide hole in the ground filled with turquoise water, surrounded by rocky cliffs. A staircase leads down to the water's edge, so entry is straightforward. You can swim, snorkel to spot marine life, or sunbathe on the rocks. The guide shares the local story of how the sinkhole formed, adding context to what you are standing in front of.
