The experience

You arrive at a professional culinary studio in Rabat and spend the afternoon learning to cook from women chefs who have spent their lives mastering Morocco's most iconic dishes. The class starts with an introduction to Moroccan spices and ingredients, then moves straight into hands-on preparation. Depending on the class length you choose, you'll craft briwat pastries (savory triangles filled with spiced meat or vegetables) prepare a beef tagine with prunes and almonds, and make jawhara, a delicate dessert of crispy warqa pastry, creamy milk pudding and toasted almonds. The chefs teach you the techniques that matter: how to balance spices, work with delicate pastry, and use slow-cooking to build the deep flavors Morocco is known for.

As you cook, the chefs share the cultural stories behind each dish, so you understand not just the how but the why. After everything is ready, you sit down and eat the meal you've prepared, accompanied by traditional Moroccan mint tea and snacks like Moroccan cookies and nuts. You leave with recipes, new skills, and something most cooking classes don't offer: three months of access to Flavors of Morocco, an online school with over 150 classes taught by the same dadas, so you can keep exploring Moroccan cooking long after the class ends.
