Two dives on the world's second-largest barrier reef, 25 minutes by boat from Tulum Beach

A two-tank dive off Tulum's coast on the Mesoamerican Reef with PADI instructors and all equipment provided. You'll spend about four hours total: gear up at Mexidivers shop on Tulum Beach, take a scenic boat ride to the reef, then complete two dives lasting 45–50 minutes each. Certified divers book at the listed price. First-time divers do a Discovery Dive for an additional 500 pesos per person.

The experience

The dive begins at Mexidivers shop right off Tulum Beach, where you'll complete paperwork and get fitted with gear. A PADI instructor or divemaster briefs you on the details of the day, then you board the boat for a 25-minute ride to the Mesoamerican Reef: the second-largest barrier reef system on earth. The reef sits in warm Caribbean waters and holds the kind of marine life that makes the journey worth taking.

Once at the reef, you'll do two dives, each lasting 45 to 50 minutes. The instructors keep the pace friendly and safe, watching over the group so everyone gets a genuine underwater experience rather than a rushed one. All SCUBA equipment is included, along with bottled water for the boat ride back. The whole outing takes about four hours from start to finish.

What’s included

  • Use of SCUBA equipment.
  • bottled water.
  • all fees and taxes.
