The experience

Your hotel pickup starts the day, and the drive takes you into the forest along Ruta de Los Cenotes near Puerto Morelos. The cenotes come first. You'll wade and swim in three of them, moving between the two open-air pools and the cavernous one where the water sits deeper in the limestone. The guide shows you how to move through each one safely, and the water itself is cool and clear year-round.

After the cenotes, the zip-lines take over. Five lines run through the canopy of gum trees, and you clip in with a harness and descend from platform to platform.
