The Experience

One minute you're throttling an ATV through wet jungle trails outside El Cedral, the next you're floating above a reef watching parrotfish work. The contrast is the whole point. You start inland—dusty, loud, muddy—and end up in the National Marine Park on a boat, mask on, watching the actual underwater life that made Cozumel famous. Most people do one or the other. This day trip does both.

The ATV portion happens first. Transport picks you up and takes you to El Cedral, the island's original settlement, a small colorful town tucked into the center of Cozumel. From there you ride a powerful ATV through the jungle's off-road trails—the kind of terrain that's wet, uneven, and genuinely thrilling if you've never done it before. You need closed-toe shoes and a valid driver's license if you're the one steering (minimum age 16), but the pace is yours to set. Purified water and sodas come with the ride, so you're not stopping to find a stand.

After the mud settles, you head to Tortugas Beach Club, which sits right inside the marine park. This is where the snorkeling happens.
