Step-by-step itinerary
Jeep tour with cenote swim and tequila tasting
- Drive jeeps to Cedral cenote
- Swim and jump from 3-meter height
- Enjoy tequila tasting session
The experience
You drive your own Jeep through Cozumel's jungle roads instead of watching from a passenger seat. The route takes you to El Cedral, the island's oldest town, then to Jade Caverns. A cenote where you can swim and jump from a 3-meter platform into crystal-clear water. The guide navigates the stops and explains the history. You control the pace and the vehicle. Bottled water comes with you, and snorkeling gear is provided for the cenote.
At a local distillery, you taste tequila (white, aged, and flavored varieties), and learn how it's made. The Lookout on the east side offers dramatic photo stops overlooking the coast. The day ends at a beach club where snorkeling is included if you want to get back in the water. The whole outing runs 5.5 hours from pickup at your hotel.
What’s included

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 12 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I really drive my own Jeep, or is it a guided ride where someone else is at the wheel?
You drive your own Jeep the entire time. The guide leads the group and explains what you're seeing, but you're steering through the jungle roads and choosing when to stop at each site.
What's the cenote at Jade Caverns actually like, is it safe to jump from that height?
Jade Caverns is a freshwater cenote inside a cave system with clear water. The 3-meter jump platform is a standard feature. You can jump or swim without jumping, and the guide will show you how it works when you arrive.
Does the tequila tasting happen at a real distillery, or is it just a quick sample?
You visit an actual distillery where they walk you through the production process and let you taste different styles (white tequila, aged varieties, and flavored options), so you get a real sense of how it's made.
What do I need to bring, and is there anywhere to change clothes or rinse off?
Bring sunscreen, a towel, and a change of clothes. Snorkeling gear is provided. The beach club at the end has facilities, though the tour doesn't include a full shower facility between the cenote and the club.
Is this tour rough on the body, or is it manageable for someone not super athletic?
You need a moderate level of fitness to handle the Jeep ride and the cenote jump, though jumping is optional. The tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns. Ask the operator if you have questions about your fitness level.
How many people go on this tour? Is it a huge group or smaller?
The tour is private, meaning it's just your group in your Jeep. The guide meets you at your hotel and leads the route, but you're not merged with other travelers.
