The Experience

The catamaran is already moving when you step aboard at Mahogany Beach in Ocho Rios. The crew runs through the safety briefing while the boat cuts toward the first stop—a coral reef about twenty minutes offshore. You're handed snorkel gear, and then you're in the water, warm and clear enough that you see the fish before you hit the surface. A guide points out the colors: parrotfish, sergeant majors, the occasional grouper hanging in the shade of the reef.
