The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your Negril resort and a drive to Mahogany Beach, where you board a catamaran with a Jamaican buffet lunch before heading out. Once on the water, the boat sails to a snorkel site where you can swim and explore the underwater view in the warm Caribbean, then cruises past emerald hills and waterfalls on the way to Dunn's River Falls. The snorkeling gear is provided.
At Dunn's River, expert guides lead the climb up the cascading 600-foot waterfall through tropical rainforest. The invigorating trek is the centerpiece of the day — a real physical effort, but the payoff is standing atop one of Jamaica's most recognizable natural landmarks. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the climb is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns; you'll need at least moderate fitness to manage the wet rocks and elevation.
Back on the catamaran for the sail home, the open bar opens up and the DJ takes over. Unlimited drinks and live entertainment fill the return journey — this is where the "party cruise" part kicks in.
