The Experience
You're already here. The ATV is waiting, keys in hand, and the guide is pointing toward the trail that cuts through the green. The ride takes about an hour — you'll throttle through the countryside, stop to wade in the spring-fed water that runs alongside the path, then keep going. It's called the wet and wild adventure for a reason. The water's clean and cold, limestone-filtered, and you don't have to choose between the ride and the swim. You get both, back to back, which is not how most ATV tours work.
After the ride, you head to Blue Hole itself. It's a series of cascading waterfalls and lagoons stacked on top of each other, each one a different shade of blue depending on the light and the depth. Your guide takes you through the route — there's a rope swing that hangs out over one of the pools, and cliff jumps if you want them, though nobody's forcing you. The water's the same spring-fed kind, so it stays cold and clear even after a dozen people have jumped in. You can spend as long as you want here; the tour is flexible that way. If you want an extra hour, you ask and the guide works with it.
The whole thing is guided, which means you're not figuring out where to go or how deep the water gets — someone who knows the spot is with you the whole time. Bring water shoes or closed shoes; they're mandatory because the rocks are sharp and the paths are slick. If you're pregnant or have heart issues, this one's not the right fit.
