The Experience
We rolled into Negril just as the sun started to get high — you could already smell salt and sunscreen in the air. Our driver, Dwayne, chatted about his favorite reggae artists while we cruised past little fruit stalls and bright houses. Seven Mile Beach looked almost too perfect, but it wasn’t crowded like I’d feared. The sand was soft, not hot yet, and the water was so clear you could see your toes even when you waded out waist-deep.
