You roll the pasta dough yourself, not watch someone else do it.
A small-group cooking class in Rimini where you learn to make two pasta recipes and tiramisu from scratch in a local home with a Cesarina (family cook), capped at 12 people. The class runs three hours, includes an Italian aperitivo, wine, water and coffee, and you taste everything you make. English and Italian instruction available.
The Experience
Rimini's Cesarine network opens home cooks' kitchens to travelers who want to actually make the food, not just eat it. You'll spend three hours rolling 'sfoglia' (fresh pasta) by hand, shaping two different pasta types (one filled, one fresh), and layering tiramisu from scratch. A Cesarina teaches you her family's techniques in her own kitchen, and the class stays under a dozen people so there's room to ask questions and move around the counter without crowding.
The class starts with an Italian aperitivo: prosecco and nibbles, the way it happens in a real Italian home. Then you cook. The pasta gets dressed with a simple sauce (pesto or tomatoes, depending on the season), and you taste it warm. Tiramisu comes last, the creamy layered coffee dessert that takes time but no special skill once someone shows you the steps. Wine, water and coffee flow throughout, and everything you make is yours to eat before you leave.
Cesarine hosts are welcoming by design. They've opened their homes specifically for this. The class works in English or Italian, so language is not a barrier. You'll meet other travelers in the same kitchen, which is part of the point: cooking together is how you share a passion for Italian food and leave with new friends instead of just a recipe.

Is this one for you?Book the Express option if you'd rather learn lasagna instead of two pasta types: both classes run three hours in the same home-kitchen format with the same aperitivo and tiramisu. Choose the two-pasta class if you want the widest range of hand-rolling technique in one session.

Can children come?
4 to 8 years; under 4, free.
Can I choose which pasta shapes I'll learn to make?

What's included in the three hours?
The class covers making two pasta recipes and tiramisu from scratch, an Italian aperitivo at the start with prosecco and nibbles, and wine, water and coffee throughout. You taste everything you cook, and the Cesarina teaches in her own home kitchen.
How many people will be in the class?
Small groups stay at a maximum of 12 people, so there's space to move and ask questions without the kitchen feeling crowded.
Do I need cooking experience to join?
No. The class is hands-on and built for people who want to learn, not for trained cooks. The Cesarina walks you through rolling pasta and layering tiramisu step by step.
