- Taste premium cured meats
- Visit Balsamic Vinegar producer
- Taste aged balsamic and enjoy lunch
- Tour Wine Museum and traditions

The experience
The day starts at 9 am at a Parmigiano Reggiano factory where you watch cheese workers pull curds from copper boilers, walk through aging storage holding thousands of wheels, and visit the stable with the cows that supply the milk. Tasting comes at the end: three ages of Parmigiano Reggiano, fresh ricotta with balsamic, and snacks, with Lambrusco wine included.
Next is a prosciutto and cured-meat producer where the owner guides you through production buildings, cellars and aging rooms. The tasting here is generous: prosciutto, cooked ham with truffle, coppa, mortadella, pancetta, and salami served with tigella bread, the flat bread of Modena. Beverages are included. Then comes the balsamic vinegar maker, where you walk the rooftop lined with historic wooden barrels to learn the artisanal process from grape harvest through decades of aging. A guided tasting of 12- and 25-year-old balsamic vinegars follows, and lunch (three courses with Lambrusco, water and coffee) happens here.
The final stop is a wine museum and producer where you learn how grapes were harvested and pressed before the industrial era, then taste three different local wines. Transport is private: a car for two to three people, a minivan for four to seven. Pickup and drop-off happen in Bologna or Modena, depending on where you start.
