The experience
You arrive at a local cook's home in Bergamo and spend three hours learning the region's pasta traditions hands-on. The Cesarina (part of Italy's network of 1000+ home cooks across the country) walks you through three authentic recipes: tagliatelle, ravioli, and gnocchi. Each participant gets a full workstation with utensils and ingredients, so you're not watching a demonstration. You're making the pasta yourself. The guide reveals the techniques that separate homemade from store-bought, and you put your skills to the test as you work.
Once everything is cooked, you sit down to taste all three dishes you've prepared, accompanied by a selection of local red and white wines. Water and coffee are also included. The experience is built around doing, not sightseeing. You leave with the muscle memory of how these pastas are actually made, not just the recipe.
