The Experience
The tour starts at 9am from your hotel with pickup included. Your driver speaks English and will explain what you're seeing at each stop, so you're not navigating or translating on your own. The Ubud Monkey Forest comes first—a nature reserve and temple complex where about 340 Crab-eating Macaques live in four separate family groups across different zones of the park. You'll walk through their habitat and see them in their natural setting, which is the main draw for most visitors to this stop.
From there you move to the Ubud Palace, also called Puri Saren, located in the center of Ubud Village. The palace is the residence of the Ubud King's Family and includes a temple in the northeast corner; live cultural performances happen here most nights. Next is the Ubud Art Market, a traditional market packed with stalls selling silver jewelry, precious stones, batiks, T-shirts, beach sarongs, wood carvings and woven bags—items hang from ceilings and the aisles are tight, so expect a crowded, sensory experience. The market is where most people pick up souvenirs, though browsing takes time and the space can feel cramped.
Happy Swing Bali is the swing photography stop, where you can pose for photos on a swing suspended over the landscape. This is a popular photo moment on the tour and a chance to break up the walking and looking. The final stop is the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a high-altitude viewpoint where the rice paddies spread down the slopes across the valley. The location is cool and breezy, and there are art kiosks and cafes along the ledge where you can sit and take in the view. All entrance tickets are included, and the tour wraps up with a return to your hotel.

What are the monkeys like at the Ubud Monkey Forest?
The Ubud Monkey Forest is home to about 340 Crab-eating Macaques split into four family groups, each occupying different areas of the nature reserve and temple complex. You'll see them in their natural habitat as you walk through the park.
Does the tour include meals or drinks?
Meals are not included in the tour. All entrance tickets and hotel pickup are covered, but you'll need to arrange or purchase food and drinks at the stops, where cafes and kiosks are available.
What can I buy at the Ubud Art Market?
The Ubud Art Market sells silver jewelry, precious stones, batiks, T-shirts, beach sarongs, wood carvings and woven cane bags. Each stall is packed with items, and the market is a traditional space with narrow aisles, so browsing takes time.
Is there a specific time to see performances at the Ubud Palace?
Live cultural performances are held at the Ubud Palace most nights. The tour visits the palace during the day, so you'll see the building and temple but not necessarily a performance unless one is scheduled during your visit time.
How much time do I spend at the Tegalalang Rice Terrace?
The tour includes a stop at the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, where you can view the rice paddies spread across the valley slopes from the high roadside location. There are cafes and art kiosks nearby if you want to sit and linger, but the exact time at this stop depends on the tour's overall schedule.
