Snorkel the Gili Islands off Lombok's Sekotong coast with a private guide, boat charter and all gear included. You're picked up from your hotel in Senggigi, driven 1.5 hours to the fishing village of Tawun, then taken by outrigger boat to Gili Nanggu, Gili Kedis and Gili Sudak, where you hunt for starfish, swim and eat lunch at a local restaurant before the return drive. The experience

If you've got a free day in Lombok and want to skip the crowded beach-resort circuit, this snorkeling trip takes you to three small islands that see almost no tourists. Your guide meets you at your hotel lobby in Senggigi, then drives you southwest for 1.5 hours through the actual landscape of Lombok (no traffic jams, no vendor hassle) to Tawun, a working fishing village. From there your guide arranges a private wooden outrigger boat just for your group, which takes 30 minutes to reach Gili Nanggu.

Once you're in the water, the guide helps you find the best snorkeling spots around each island. Gili Nanggu is the first stop for reef fish and coral. Gili Sudak is where you hunt for starfish in shallow water. Gili Kedis, the smallest of the three, is built for swimming and sunbathing between snorkel sessions. You get snorkeling gear, the boat, and lunch at a local restaurant on one of the islands, all included. The return trip follows the same route back to Sekotong, then the air-conditioned van takes you back to your hotel.

The whole day is private to your group, which means no waiting for other divers, no split attention from the guide, and no schedule pressure. Children from age five can join. Bring a towel and sunscreen. Bottled water is provided.
