The experience

A private outrigger boat leaves Tawun Harbour at 9:30 AM after your guide picks you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. The boat carries only your group to three islands in sequence. Gili Nanggu comes first, with calm shallow water and coral gardens where the guide points out reef spots and tropical fish. Feeding the fish near the jetty is optional. After snorkeling, you ride to Gili Sudak, where you can snorkel again or rest under coconut trees while lunch (fresh grilled fish, tempeh, vegetables and rice), is served at a beachfront warung.

Gili Kedis, a tiny heart-shaped island with crystal-clear water, is the third stop. You have free time to snorkel or swim, and it's a popular photo spot. The boat returns to Tawun Harbour by 2:30 PM, and your driver brings you back to your hotel by 4 PM. Snorkeling gear, bottled water and parking fees are included. Lunch is not, though the warung meal is available to order at the stop.
