The experience

You start from your Kuta hotel and travel with only your group in a private vehicle, stopping first at the Gates of Heaven: the split gateway that frames Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano, in perfect symmetry. The guide explains what you're standing in front of and why the site matters to Balinese culture, not just why it photographs well. From there the route moves to Tirta Gangga, a former royal water palace built in 1948 by the last Raja of Karangasem, where Balinese and Chinese architectural styles meet in a complex of water gardens and stone courtyards.

The day also reaches Goa Raja Waterfall, a cave system with a cascading waterfall in the Gianyar regency near Taro village: one of Bali's less-crowded waterfalls. You'll stop at Cantik Agriculture Coffee Plantation in the highlands for a look at how premium coffee grows and is processed there, with views across to Mount Agung. Lunch is Indonesian buffet-style, included in the price. The route adjusts based on where your hotel sits: if you're in Ubud, you pass the traditional market. If you're in Seminyak or Canggu, the drive includes those neighborhoods on the way back.

Everything is arranged: entrance tickets to each site, the vehicle, fuel, parking, and a driver who also helps you frame shots. The schedule has no fixed rush. You set the pace. The guide speaks English and knows the stories, culture and meaning of each place, so the experience stays grounded in what you're actually seeing rather than just moving between photo spots.

Top questions

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 11 years).

What is the Gates of Heaven and why is it so famous?

The Gates of Heaven is a split gateway at Lempuyang Temple that frames Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano, in a perfectly symmetrical view. When clouds drift between the gates, the effect is ethereal, and the composition is why it has become one of Bali's most photographed spots.

What will I see at Tirta Gangga Water Palace?

Tirta Gangga is a former royal water palace built in 1948 by the last Raja of Karangasem, featuring water gardens, courtyards and a blend of Balinese and Chinese architectural elements. The name translates to "Water of the Ganges," and the complex is designed around flowing water and stone work.

Is Goa Raja Waterfall different from other waterfalls in Bali?

Goa Raja Waterfall combines a cave system with a cascading waterfall, making it distinct from other waterfalls on the island. It's located in the Gianyar regency near Taro village and is less crowded than the main tourist waterfalls.

How does the flexible itinerary work if I want to spend more time at one site?

The tour has no fixed schedule or time pressure at each stop. You explore at your own pace, and your guide and driver adjust the day based on how long you want to spend at the Gates of Heaven, Tirta Gangga, or any other site on the route.

Will I pass through Ubud or other neighborhoods on the way back to my hotel?

The return route depends on where your hotel is located. If you're in Ubud, you pass the traditional market and shops. If you're in Seminyak, Canggu, or the southern beaches, the drive includes those areas on the way home.
