The experience
You're picked up from your hotel each morning by a private driver who speaks English and knows the routes. The three days are structured around Bali's most popular sites, so you move through them without deciding where to go next or how to get there. Day one heads south to Uluwatu Temple, perched 80 meters above the ocean on a cliff, where you can watch the Kecak dance at sunset before eating grilled seafood on Jimbaran Beach. The second day starts at 8am and runs north through Ubud's art villages (Celuk for silver jewelry and Batubulan for batik), then to Tegenungan Waterfall, Kintamani volcano and its views of Mount Batur, and the rice terraces of Tegalalang. You also stop at a coffee plantation to try local Balinese coffee and visit the Jungle Swing. Day three takes you to Tanah Lot Temple on the coast, a chocolate factory in Bedugul, the Handara Gate for photos, and Ulun Danu Temple on a lake.
The vehicle is air-conditioned and stays with you the whole time, so you're not switching between transport or waiting for group departures. Lunch is included on days two and three as an Indonesian buffet. Dinner on day one is the seafood meal at Jimbaran, eaten on the beach. All temple entry fees are covered. On day one, water sports at Tanjung Benoa beach (jet ski, parasailing, snorkeling) are optional and paid separately. A banana ride is free. Walking at Tegenungan Waterfall involves some steps and moderate terrain. The Handara Gate is popular for photos, so you may wait in line depending on how busy it is.
