The experience
If you've just arrived in Jaipur or have a full day free, this tour strings together the city's major historical sites without requiring you to arrange transport or navigate between them. You start from your hotel and spend eight hours moving through the city's royal past: the Hawa Mahal's 953 intricate windows, the floating palace of Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake, the City Palace's blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture with its royal courtyards and museums, and Jantar Mantar's 19 astronomical instruments including the world's largest stone sundial.
The route takes you to two forts perched on the Aravalli hills. Jaigarh Fort, known as the "Fort of Victory," houses the Jaivana, the world's largest cannon on wheels, and commands panoramic views across the landscape. Before returning to your hotel, the day ends at Nahargarh Fort, originally built as a summer palace, where you watch the sunset over the city from the hills. In between, you stop at Royal Gaitor, a serene collection of cenotaphs dedicated to Jaipur's Maharajas, and Panna Meena Kund, an ancient stepwell with symmetrical staircases and geometric designs that photographers favor.
You travel in a private AC car with a driver who speaks English and handles all logistics: parking, fuel and navigation. Monument entry fees are optional at checkout. If you skip them, you still see the exteriors and can explore the markets near the end of the day if time allows. Water is provided throughout.

What exactly is Jantar Mantar and why is it worth seeing?
Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 large astronomical instruments built in the 18th century, including the world's largest stone sundial. These devices were used to measure time and observe celestial bodies, and they blend ancient science with architectural precision.
