The experience

The zipline course runs through the jungle canopy with views across the treetops, and the ATV section covers muddy trails and panoramic overlooks of the Caribbean. Both pieces are led by local guides who know where the wildlife congregates: white-faced capuchin monkeys, sloths moving through the branches, and tropical birds overhead. The guides also explain Roatan's Garifuna culture and the conservation practices that keep the habitat intact. This is not a caged animal encounter. The wildlife moves freely in open-air jungle, and sightings depend on the day.

After the ATV and zipline sections, you spend up to three hours at Pristine Bay, a private beach club not open to walk-in visitors or other cruise excursions. The beach has white sand and turquoise water. Two pools separate adults and children. You can snorkel, kayak, use the water trampoline or paddle boards, or simply rest in a cabana or under the palms. The beachside restaurant serves fresh seafood and tropical cocktails. Round-trip transportation from the cruise port is included, as is all ATV and zipline equipment. The whole outing runs about five hours.

The ATVs and zipline system are low-emission and carbon-neutral, part of the operator's eco-conscious approach. Bottled water is available in the vehicle on request. Children from age two can participate. Infants ride in a parent's lap or a stroller.
