The day starts with a 4x4 climb up Crooked Mountain through dry oak forest into tropical rainforest. Once at the top, your guide gets you geared up for the zipline course: six cables strung across the canopy and over Roatan's only saltwater lagoon crossing, with the longest running 1,600 feet. You launch from one platform to the next, suspended above the jungle and the water below. The aerial views open up the island from a perspective most visitors never reach.
After the ziplines, you trade the harness for an ATV. Your guide leads the way through dense jungle, splash through creek beds and muddy terrain, past iron shore gardens where black iguanas rest in the sun. The trail climbs toward the coast, opening to ocean views before reaching a secluded beach where you can take photos or wade in. The whole experience (from the truck ride up the mountain to the final beach stop) takes three hours. Located steps from both cruise terminals, the operation is locally owned and has run this combo for over 15 years.
