The Experience

"You ready for this?" That’s what our guide, Carlos, grinned as he handed me the harness at the edge of Roatan’s jungle. I could hear parrots somewhere above us — or maybe it was just the wind rattling leaves. The air felt sticky and sweet, like overripe fruit.
