The Experience

What time does the boat leave, and how do you get there? A minivan picks you up from your hotel in the Mykonos area and takes you to the marina—no need to arrange transport yourself. Once aboard the modern catamaran, the crew briefs you on safety and the day ahead, and you find a spot on deck as the boat heads out into the Aegean. The sail past Mykonos' white houses is the first stretch of the journey; most people spend it with a camera or a glass of Mykonos wine, watching the water change color as the island recedes.

The first real stop is Delos, the ancient birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. You don't land on the island—the boat anchors offshore and a guide points out the Terrace of the Lions and the House of Dionysus from the water, giving the history and the mythology without the walk. It's a short stop, meant for photos and the story. Then the catamaran sails to Rhenia, where the day opens up: the boat anchors in a cove and you swim in water clear enough to see the seafloor. Snorkeling gear is provided free, and swimming noodles or life vests are there if you want them. The crew keeps an eye on the water the whole time.

While you're swimming or floating, the galley is working. When everyone comes back aboard, a freshly prepared meal is served on deck—the kind of food that tastes better when you've been in the sea. Seasonal fruit, bread, and all the drinks you want come with it. If you booked the sunset cruise, you get the same stops and the same swim, but the return to Mykonos happens as the light turns gold, and the boat drops you back at your hotel as the day ends. The whole thing takes five hours from pickup to drop-off.

Top questions

What exactly do you see at Delos if you don't get off the boat?

Delos is viewed from the water with a guide pointing out the Terrace of the Lions and the House of Dionysus—the main ruins visible from the anchorage. The stop is brief and meant for photos and historical context, not a walking tour of the island.

Is snorkeling included, or do I need to bring my own gear?

Snorkeling gear is provided free on the cruise. Swimming noodles and life vests are also available if you want extra flotation while you're in the water at Rhenia.

Can I bring my young child on this cruise?

Children are welcome from age 2 onward. The crew has life vests and swimming aids for younger swimmers, and the meal is served on deck so families can stay together.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the cruise?

If port authorities don't permit a cruise to Delos due to extreme weather, the boat sails to the Mykonos South Coast instead, with the same meal and swimming stop at Rhenia included.

Are dietary needs like vegetarian or gluten-free meals possible?

Yes. The crew can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals if you let them know when you book.
