After exploring the cave, you drive ten minutes to Melissani Lake, board a small boat, and float into a flooded cavern where sunlight hits the turquoise water through an opening in the rock. The final stop is Myrtos Beach, a twenty-minute drive west. You get twenty minutes to photograph the bay: white pebbles, luminous blue water, and the cliff face rising behind it. The beach has won "best Greek beach" recognition twelve times and appeared in the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin. The drive back to your starting point takes fifty minutes. Throughout the day, your driver handles navigation and timing. You bring a camera and comfortable shoes for walking through the cave.
