The experience

Two hours into the arctic night, a snowmobile pulls your sledge through the dark Lappish landscape toward areas free of light pollution. Only moonlight, stars, and the snowmobile's lights cut through the darkness as you move through forests and past frozen lakes that rise like shadows against the sky. The guide leads the route and stops you in the middle of the wilderness to wait and watch for the Northern Lights.

When you stop, the peacefulness of the surroundings settles in: no ambient light, no sound except the wind and the quiet of deep winter. If the sky is clear and conditions align, the Northern Lights may appear and move across the night above you. If they don't show, you still spend the break gazing at the stars and the landscape that surrounds you in the darkness. Winter overalls and snowmobile equipment are provided. The vehicle is heated.
