You get timed entry to all eight zones, 150+ wax figures, the Marvel 4D film, Star Wars scenes, the Spirit of London ride, and the Royal Palace experience. Your e-ticket goes straight to your phone, and you skip the entrance queue by booking in advance. Bring your passport and arrive within your booked time slot.
You walk through the doors of Madame Tussauds and the first zone hits you straight away — the Awards Party, where the figures are posed as if they've just arrived at an event. Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Kim Kardashian. They're close enough to touch, and the lighting is set up so your phone camera catches them perfectly. The whole point of the first hour is to move through eight themed zones at your own pace, stopping to pose, take photos, and stand next to whoever you came to see. There's no guide walking you through it; you set the rhythm.
The interactive parts are what stretch the visit. The Marvel Universe 4D experience puts you in a short film where the screen wraps around you and the seats move — it's not long, maybe five minutes, but it's the kind of thing that breaks up the walking. Then there's the Spirit of London, an actual black cab ride that takes you through scenes of the city's history: Tudor England, the Great Fire, the swinging sixties. It's on rails, so you're not actually driving, but it moves you through the museum in a way that feels different from just walking. The ride can close without notice for maintenance, so if it's running when you arrive, do it early.
The Royal Palace zone is where you stand in front of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in a recreation of Buckingham Palace. The Culture Capital section has British figures who shaped modern culture, and the Impossible Festival lets you grab a microphone and pose with Drake, Dua Lipa, Freddie Mercury. The Star Wars section is a full experience with scenes you walk through, not just figures you stand next to. If you're 16 or older, the Chamber of Horrors is included in your ticket — it's darker and more theatrical than the rest, so some people skip it and some people go straight there.
Your e-ticket arrives by email the day before. You show the barcode on your phone at the entrance, they scan it, and you're in. Bring a valid photo ID or passport — they check it at the door. The ticket is timed to the date and hour you book, so you can't show up a different day or time. Most people spend two to three hours inside, though you can move faster if you're just hitting the zones you care about and skipping the ride. There's no guide included, so you navigate the museum yourself and decide how long to spend at each zone.
