- Visit Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx
- Enjoy local lunch with falafel or koshary
- Take 15-minute camel ride
- Tour Grand Egyptian Museum exhibits
The experience
Giza Pyramids anchor the first half of the day. You'll see the three main pyramids, the Sphinx, and ride a camel for 15 minutes across the plateau. The guide explains the engineering and the secrets behind their construction while you move through the site at your own pace. Lunch (Egyptian falafel or koshary) happens at a local restaurant before you leave the pyramid complex.
The Grand Egyptian Museum opens the second half. The building itself echoes the pyramids in its design, and the scale is immediate: 490,000 square meters of floor space across 24 galleries. What makes this museum different is the Tutankhamun collection: his golden mask, chariots, furniture and weapons are displayed together for the first time in one place. You'll also see the solar boat of King Khufu, a colossal statue of Ramses II in the atrium, and thousands of other artifacts spanning Egypt's dynasties. The museum includes a 3D cinema, gardens, and a children's section if you're traveling with younger visitors.
An air-conditioned car picks you up and handles the route between sites. Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or Arabic, and stays with you the entire day. Bottled water is provided throughout. Entry to the pyramids area and the museum is included. The only extra cost is if you choose to go inside one of the pyramids themselves, which you can arrange on site.
