The experience

You start with a 30-minute pickup from your hotel, then spend 15 minutes at the ATV ranch getting a safety briefing before you climb onto your machine. The ride itself is what fills the day: 25 minutes of rally-style driving through forests and tropical gardens to reach the organic farm, where you stop for 20 minutes to sample and learn about Dominican coffee, green tea, chocolate, mamajuana and cigars. Then another 25 minutes of riding takes you to a 25-foot-deep water cave where swimmers jump into the refreshing water while everyone admires the limestone formations. The final stretch is a 25-minute ride to Macao Beach, where you have 20 minutes to walk the sand and watch the waves before the 25-minute return to the ranch and 30-minute drive back to your hotel.
