You’ll feel sea breeze on your face as you leave Trogir behind for a swim in Croatia’s Blue Lagoon, with snorkeling gear included. Stroll narrow streets in a UNESCO town, then sip something cool at a laid-back beach bar on Čiovo island. This half-day trip lets you slow down and soak up Adriatic light — no rush, just small moments that stick with you.
The first thing I remember is the slap of sunlight off the water as we pulled away from Trogir — that old stone town just sits there like it’s waiting for you to notice every carved window. Our guide, Luka, pointed out a bell tower poking above the roofs (apparently you can climb it for views but we didn’t have time). The air smelled like salt and sunscreen, and I kept getting distracted by people waving from the promenade. It’s only twenty minutes or so before you’re out in open water — honestly, I barely noticed the time.
When we reached the Blue Lagoon Croatia, everything went kind of quiet. The water really is that pale turquoise you see in photos — not sure how else to describe it except that it made me want to just float forever. Luka handed out snorkeling masks (included, which was nice because I forgot mine) and showed us where to spot little silver fish darting around. There was this moment when I dunked under and all I could hear was my own breath and distant laughter from someone back on the boat. I got sand between my toes even though it’s mostly pebbles here — guess that’s just part of swimming in Croatia.
Afterwards we docked at Čiovo island for a stop at Laganini Beach Bar. It’s not crowded — more locals than tourists, at least when we went. There were these big white sofas right by the sea, and someone brought us cold drinks while seagulls argued overhead. The sun felt heavier here; maybe because we’d already been swimming or maybe because time moves different when you’re on a half day Blue Lagoon tour instead of rushing everywhere. I tried to order something in Croatian and totally butchered it; Luka laughed but helped me out anyway.
I still think about that color of water — how it looked against the old stones of Trogir as we came back in late afternoon (we picked the earlier departure). You don’t get days like this at home, you know? Not perfect, but kind of quietly magic.
Your day includes all fees and taxes plus use of snorkeling equipment throughout the trip. You’ll have time for swimming or sightseeing at each stop before returning to Trogir by boat — just bring yourself (and maybe dry clothes).
