The experience

Our boat captain, Marko, was already untying the lines when we arrived at the dock: he'd seen the weather forecast and wanted to leave early. You get maybe ninety minutes to walk it: enough to get lost in the right way, find a café tucked into a corner, and actually feel like you've been somewhere, not just photographed it.

After Trogir, the boat heads out to the Blue Lagoon, the part everyone's thinking about when they book. It sits between two islands (Drvenik Veli and Krknjaši), and the water really is that turquoise. You get snorkeling equipment included, so you can go down and look around, or you can just float and let the sun do its thing.
