Blue Cave, Hvar & Vis boat tour from Split: Speedboat with cabin
The Blue Cave entrance is small enough you duck your head to get inside.
A full-day boat tour from Split visits the Blue Cave on Bisevo, the islands of Hvar and Vis, and the Pakleni Islands on a speedboat equipped with a cabin, WiFi and onboard restroom. The boat departs from Split town or five pickup points on Brac island. Snorkelling gear, bottled water and a live English-speaking guide are included; the Blue Cave entrance ticket and lunch are separate. Children from age 1 are welcome.
Step-by-step itinerary
Blue Cave and Hvar Boat Tour
- Visit the Blue Cave on Bisevo Island
- Optional stop at Komiža on Vis Island
- Swim and snorkel in Blue Lagoon
- Cruise through Pakleni Islands
- Sightsee and lunch in Hvar town
The Experience
The speedboat leaves Split or Brac with a small group and heads out to the Blue Cave on Bisevo, where the sun penetrates through an opening in the ceiling and fills the interior with a specific blue light. To enter, you transfer to a small wooden paddle boat and duck under a very low entrance—it's the only way in. After the cave, the crew decides whether time allows a stop in Komiža, the traditional fishing town on Vis with narrow streets and houses around the harbour, or whether you'll swim and snorkel instead at the Blue Lagoon near Budikovac Island or a bay on Bisevo, both accessible only by private speedboat.
The route then crosses through the Pakleni Islands—a slow cruise through the archipelago—before arriving in Hvar for the afternoon. Hvar has the architecture and cultural heritage of a Mediterranean town, though it's also become known as a jet-set destination. You'll have time to walk around, eat lunch (at your own cost), and explore before the boat returns to Split or your Brac departure point. The cabin protects you from sun and weather, WiFi keeps you connected, and snorkelling equipment is on board so you don't need to bring your own.
The full day runs about ten hours. Departures are available from Split town or from Supetar, Sutivan, Postira and Milna on Brac island, so you can choose the pickup closest to where you're staying. The boat has a restroom on board and is wheelchair accessible. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller.
What’s included
- Speedboat with cabin, WiFi and onboard restroom.
- snorkelling gear.
- bottled water.
- live English-speaking guide.
- departures from Split town or five Brac island locations (Supetar, Sutivan, Postira, Milna).

Is this one for you?Choose the Split town departure if you're staying in the city center; pick a Brac island departure if you're based there and want to skip the ferry to Split. The cabin and WiFi mean you're comfortable in any weather, and snorkelling gear is ready to go, so you don't need to pack your own or arrange rentals separately.

What is the Blue Cave actually like when you get there?
The Blue Cave on Bisevo is known for the specific blue color inside, which appears when sunlight enters through an opening in the ceiling. The entrance is very small, so you transfer to a small wooden paddle boat and duck your head to get inside—it's the only way to reach the interior.
Can I swim and snorkel on this tour?
Yes. You'll swim and snorkel in the crystal clear Blue Lagoon near Budikovac Island or at a bay on Bisevo, depending on the day's schedule. Snorkelling equipment is provided on board, and the boat stops at these locations accessible only by private speedboat.
What happens in Hvar, and how much time do I have there?
Hvar is the final stop before returning to Split or Brac. You'll have time to walk the town, see its architecture and cultural sites, and eat lunch (which you arrange and pay for separately). The exact duration depends on the day's schedule and when the boat needs to depart to get you back on time.
Is a stop in Komiža guaranteed?
Komiža on Vis is an optional stop based on the crew's decision and how much time was spent at the Blue Cave. If the cave visit runs long, the crew may skip Komiža and head straight to the swimming stops instead.
Where can I be picked up?
The boat departs from Split town or from five locations on Brac island: Supetar, Sutivan, Postira and Milna. You choose your departure point when you book.
What's included in the tour price?
The tour includes the speedboat with cabin, WiFi on board, bottled water, snorkelling equipment, use of the restroom, and a live guide in English. The Blue Cave entrance ticket and lunch are not included and are paid separately.
