The Experience
The day starts with a drive to Kravica Waterfalls, where the Trebizat River drops 28 meters into a natural amphitheater 120 meters wide. The site sits 3 kilometers downstream from Hrašljani and has been a local swimming and picnic spot for years. You'll have time to walk the grounds, take photographs, and if you're visiting in summer, swim in the river itself. The landscape around it is rocky and harsh, which is what makes the waterfall's pool and the vegetation around it stand out.
After Kravica, the route heads to Mostar, a town that developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier settlement. The old town sits in a deep valley carved by the Neretva River and is known for its Turkish houses and the Stari Most—the Old Bridge—which gave the town its name. Mostar is described as a mix of past and future, east and west, and European and Ottoman influences. The town also has a reputation for food in the Balkans.
Your private vehicle is air-conditioned, and your guide speaks one of three languages: English, German, or Croatian. All visitor taxes, entry fees, and transportation are included in the price. Hotel pickup is part of the booking, so you don't arrange your own ride to the starting point.
