The Experience
You'll fly for 15, 20, or 30 minutes depending on the option you pick—long enough to feel weightless over mountains, around waterfalls, and across the Bello-Medellín skyline. The pilots here grew up flying this area and won recognition at the AIR Canes festival for a short film about paragliding life in the region. They fly tandem, so you're strapped into a harness next to someone who has made this their profession since childhood.
The full outing runs about 3.5 hours, which covers the setup, the flight itself, and the landing. Insurance, a harness and helmet come with every flight. A live guide speaks English or Spanish throughout. If you need it, private transportation can be arranged at checkout; public transit options are also nearby. Children from age 3 can fly, though the experience is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with cardiovascular concerns.
