The experience
You start in Ine's modern kitchen in the heart of Brussels with a refreshing drink in hand. Over the next two hours, you'll learn cooking techniques and tips as you prepare a gourmet meal together, typically an hors d'œuvre, a starter, a main course and dessert. The menu shifts with the seasons and might include green pea gazpacho, squid with tomato coulis, roasted chicken with herbed potatoes, or whole roasted dorade. Ine's food is light and creative, built on fresh ingredients and culinary trends. You'll also learn how to plate and present your dishes beautifully.
If you choose the market tour option, the experience begins with a short walk to Le Marché Bio, a covered organic market where you'll browse seasonal fruits, vegetables, artisan breads and local specialties. You'll learn about Belgian ingredients and food traditions as you shop, then purchase a few items together to use during the cooking class. On Sundays, you may visit a local farmers market instead, depending on what's in season. After cooking, you sit down to the meal you helped create, served with wine and other beverages.
The class is private, so it's just you and your group with Ine. She speaks English and Dutch. Let her know at booking if anyone has allergies, dietary restrictions or cooking preferences: vegetarian options are available. The experience accommodates infants in a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome.
